1) In the tropics the water near the ocean surface is warmer than the deep water. Does the second law of thermodynamics would be violated if a machine operate between these two levels of water?

2) A car battery is connected to an electric motor is used to raise a weight. The battery remains at a constant temperature hot air getting around it. Is this a violation of the second law?

3) How is that the cell maintains internal order, yet it discharges heat (disorder) to the surrounding?

4) If the cell is supplied with materials for metabolism and growth by the surroundings (disorderly environment), then how does that disorder generate order inside the cell?

5) When we zoom out from a single cell to a multi-cellular organism, will the net value of internal order of cells decrease disorder which would contradict the 2nd law of thermodynamics?
