Several factors affect the rate at which enzymatic reactions proceed - temperature, pH, enzyme concentration, substrate concentration, and the presence of any inhibitors or activators.

Factors affecting enzyme activity ::

1. TEMPERATURE ::

✳The temparature at which enzymes shows its highest activity is know as optimum temperature.

✳Enzyme activity declines both below and above the optimum temperature.

2 .Hydrogen ion concentration (PH) ::

✳A rise or fall in PH reduces enzyme activity.

✳Some enzymes act best in acidic medium. other in alkaline medium.

✳For every enzyme there is an optimum PH where it's action is maximum.

3. Concentration of Substrate ::

✳Increase in substrate concentration, increases the velocity of the enzymatic reaction.

✳The reaction ultimately reaches a maximum velocity. which is not exceeded by any other rise in concentration.
