According to the Question

Sin A = Cos A

Hence

\bf\huge\frac{Sin\:A}{Cos\:A} = 1

Tan A = 1

Tan A = Tan 45

A = 45

Now here

2 Tan A + Cos A

2 Tan 45 + Cos^2 45

\bf\huge = 2\times 1 + \frac{1}{\sqrt{2} }

\bf\huge = 2 + \frac{1}{2}

\bf\huge = \frac{4 + 1 }{2}

\bf\huge = \frac{5}{2}
