See isobutyric acid is an acid of carboxyl group.
And more than tht it is very strong acid in nature
and if you want to extract that then you have to extract it from non polar solvent then try to mixing it with an aqueos solution of base to ionize it.
then afer neutralisation ,it will most likely come into an aqueos layer ..
then after that,,obtain that aqueus layer and acidify to recover the acid which is obviously the organic non polar in nature
Now i will come to your options
as isobutyric acid is non polar it cannot be prepared by non polar solvent like hexane so options C and D are ruled out
then option A must be correct answer because during the preparation there will loss of three washings so one 30 ml wash must be reqiured
so OPTION A IS CORRECT
hope you have understood
if you have understood please approve it
THANK YOU
