1.)gamete

Gametes are an organism's reproductive cells. They are also referred to as sex cells. Female gametes are called ova or egg cells, and male gametes are called sperm. Gametes are haploid cells, and each cell carries only one copy of each chromosome. These reproductive cells are produced through a type of cell division called meiosis. During meiosis, a diploid parent cell, which has two copies of each chromosome, undergoes one round of DNA replication followed by two separate cycles of nuclear division to produce four haploid cells. These cells develop into sperm or ova. The ova mature in the ovaries of females, and the sperm develop in the testes of males. Each sperm cell, or spermatozoon, is small and motile. The spermatozoon has a flagellum, which is a tail-shaped structure that allows the cell to propel and move. In contrast, each egg cell, or ovum, is relatively large and non-motile. During fertilization, a spermatozoon and ovum unite to form a new diploid organism.

2.)Fertilisation is the moment when a sperm and egg join together, and the genes from the mother and father combine to form a new life. ... The prize is the egg, which is released from the ovary and then travels along the fallopian tube to meet the sperm.

If the Egg Isn't Fertilized. If no sperm is around to fertilize the egg, it moves through the uterus and disintegrates. Your hormone levels go back to normal. Your body sheds the thick lining of the uterus, and your period starts.

3.)The ability to reproduce is a basic characteristic of life. In sexual reproduction, two individuals produce offspring that have genetic characteristics from both parents. The primary function of the reproductive system is to produce male and female sex cells and to ensure the growth and development of offspring.

1) Gametes are organisms reproductive cells .

MALE GAMETES - male Gametes are sperm.

FEMALE GAMETES - female Gametes are ova or egg.

2) The fusion of male and female Gametes is called fertilization. During fertilization , the nuclei of egg and sperm fuse to form a single nucleus. This result in the formation of zygote or fertilised egg

3) MALE REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM --

it includes a pair of testis , two sperm duct and a pennis . Testis produce male Gametes called sperm . Though sperm are very small in size , each having a head , a middle piece and a tail.A sperm is a single cell.

FEMALE REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM --

it includes a pair of ovaries , oviduct ( fallopian tubes) and the uterus. The female Gametes are produced by ovaries called ova . In girls a single matured egg is released every month by ovaries. An egg is a single cell.
