Hey mate, this question is easy...☝☝

It can be solved using the emperical formula.

Mean - Mode = 3[Mean - Median]

Let the mean be x.

¶ x - 400 = 3(x - 500)

¶3x - 1500 = x - 400

¶x = 550.

The mean is 550.

Hope this helps you.

Answer:

Mean = 550

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

Mode = 400

Median = 500

Mean = ?

To calculate mean in this question we have to use mean, mode and median Empirical formula which is :

Mean – Mode = 3(Mean – Median)

Now put the all given value in formula

Mean - 400 = 3(Mean - 500)

Mean - 400 = 3Mean - 1500

3Mean = 1500 - 400

3Mean = 1100

Mean = 1100/ 3

Mean = 550
