the massai community has lost their grazing lands due to the following reasons..

1. the massai community was pushed into a small area in souther kenya and north Tanzania which considerable reduce their grazzing land.
2. large areas of grazing land were also turned into game reserves where pastorilate were not allowed to enter.
3. from the late 19th century, the british colonial rulers promoted cultivation on pasture lands.
