Answer:

Option (a) 200 J

Explanation:

Given:-

  • Weight of body on 2nd floor = 10 N

  • Height of each floor = 10 m

To Find:-

  • Potential Energy ,PE

Solution:-

As we know that the acceleration due to gravity is 9.8m/s² ≈ 10m/s² .

Firstly we calculate the mass of the object .

F = mg

  • F denotes Force (Weight)
  • g denote acceleration due to gravity
  • m denote mass

Substitute the value we get

→ 10 = m × 10

→ m = 10/10

→ m = 1 kg

  • Mass of the body is 1 kg

Now, Calculating the Potential Energy

PE = mgh

where,

PE is Potential Energy

  • m is the mass
  • g is the acceleration due to gravity
  • h is the height

Substitute the value we get

→ PE = 1 × 10 ×(2×10) as height of each floor is 10 m

→ PE = 10 × 20

→ PE = 200 J

  • Hence, the potential energy is 200 Joules.

So, ans is option a)- 200joule.

#Ayush, hope ni bhuli ho.

Thanks..
