if cot theta+cos theta=p and cot theta=q,then the value of p^2-q^2 is. ????

Your question seems to be wrong. It should be cottheta - costheta = q.

u have solve both value 1st in addition tgen subtraction why?
what is need their to add 1 st then subtract also
if we either add or subtract then we will get only or value. But, if we add and subtract then will get 2 values which helps in futher caluclations.
