which is the best IIT institution for studying about computer very clearly ?


ex- IIT khadakpur is famous for chemical engineer so in that way which is the best IIT if we wanna be a software engineer​

According to me,

IIT Bombay is the  best IIT institution for studying about computer .

Because,

In 2011 , 70 / 100 opted for IIT Bombay . 30 / 100 opted in other for two main reasons . For one closer to home for example a person living in Chennai might prefer being in IIT Madras . Other for the department-institute pairing like few take up pure sciences in IIT K .  

Now in 2012 , the herd effect would be even more drastic as seeing the previous year statistics more people who would have otherwise gone to other IIT's would like to join IITB.

I think IIT Bombay rush is only an artificial trend that ought to fall out in due time as more and more people develop access to relevant information.
