Water flow in 1 hr = Area of cross - section x speed of water

b=5.4 m

h=1.8m

cross section area =5.4×1.8

= 9.72 sq.m

v= 25km/h

=25/60 km/min

velocity in 40 min= 40×25/60

=50/3 km/min

=50000/3 m/min=v

standing water,H = 10 cm=1/10m

let area irrigated be A

A×H=b×h×v

A×1/10=50000×9.72

A=1620000 sq.m

hope this helps you

breadth. b=5.4 m

height .h=1.8 m

v=25km/h

so, length.l=25km/h

Therefore water flowing in 40 min=40*25/60=50/3km=50000/3m

area of irrigation = area of water flowing in 40 min

volume of water which irrigate land= volume of water flowing from canal in 40 min

10 cm of standing water is required for irrigation.therefore,

l×b×h=L×B×H

l×b×1/10=50000/3×5.4×1.8

l×b=300000×5.4

=16200000 sq .m

So area to be irrigated when 10 cm of standing water is required =16200000sq m

HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU SIS
