why?

so the net force is zero

IN B the Net force is 30N because both the forces are applied on the same direction so the object moves even faster

and to calculate the total force acting on the object you have to sum the forces acting on it

in C the net force is 10N the force on the right is more than that of the lefts but still the left force is slightly restricting the movement in right direction

so to calculate the force in which the object is moving you have to find the difference between them

B. Net force = 30N towards right

Because both forces towards same side.

so, net force = 10 + 20 = 30N towards right.

C. Net force = 10N towards left

Because larger force dominates.

so, net force = 20 - 10 = 10N towards left.
