The red soil is found in regions such as Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha, some parts of Karnataka and southeast Maharashtra

Alluvial soil is mainly found in northern plains ..example Jharkhand ,Odisha etcLaterite soils are found in Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh and in the hilly areas of Odisha and Assam.

black soil is found in the central, western and southern states of India.
