2)The first national flag in India was hoisted on August 7, 1906, in the Parsee Bagan Square (Green Park) in Calcutta now Kolkata.

❥The Indian Constituent Assembly adopted the National Flag of India as the Flag of the Dominion of India on 22nd July 1947. The same Flag had later retained as the Flag of the Republic of India when the Constitution of India came into effect on 26th January 1950.
