AB=AC

So angle ABC=angle ACB

angle ABC=180-142=38

so X=180-2×38=180-76=104'

since AB = AC

Therefore, angles ABC = ACB = y

Angle A=x ( given )

142°+y=180°[ linear pair ]

y= 38°= angle ABC= ACB

So, y+y+x=180°[ angle sum property ]

2y+x=180

2×38+x=180

76+x=180°

therefore, x= 180-76

x=104°
