AB = AC = BC = x cm.
ΔABC is equilateral.
∴ AO = (2/3) AP
3AO = 2AP
(3 * 20)/2 = AP
AP = 30 m.
In ΔAPB,
AB² = AP² + BP²
x² = (30)² + (x/2)²
x² = 900 + x²/4
x² - x²/4 = 900
4x² - x² = 3600
3x² = 3600
x² = 1200
x = 20√3
Hence, the length of the string = 20√3 (or) 34.64 m.
