Answer:

5 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

(i) Cylindrical vessel:

Diameter of cylindrical vessel = 60 cm.

Then, radius of cylindrical vessel = 30 cm.

(ii) Sphere:

Diameter of sphere = 30 cm.

Then, radius of sphere = 15 cm.

Now,

Let rise of the water level be h m.

Volume of sphere = Volume of cylinder.

⇒ (4/3)πr³ = πr²h

⇒ (4/3)(15)³ = (30)²h

⇒ 4500 = 900 * h

⇒ h = 5 cm.

Therefore, Level of water rise = 5 cm.

Hope this helps!

akchita124pekc5c: your answer is right but I have a doubt here that how did you equal the volume of Sphere and volume of cylinder
akchita124pekc5c: please reply
siddhartharao77: In the question it is said that sphere is completely immersed in water..
siddhartharao77: This kind of question needs logical thinking..
akchita124pekc5c: Thank u❤
akchita124pekc5c: yes I agree with you
