Answer:

  1. Mid day meal scheme.
  2. Tamil nadu was the first state to introduce this scheme for the first in India by K.kamrajar , the chief minister at the time in Tamilnadu.
  3. Advantages of the scheme include many ,

The main purpose of introducing this scheme was to increase the number of students coming to school.

  • To Avoid hunger of the poor people.
  • To Increase the attendance
  • To provide nutritious food for students who are not even able to eat a single duration meal
  • address the issue of malnutrition among the children.

Once when Kamarajar had become CM of Tamil nadu. He decided to bring good education among the poor people but they are unwilling to come to school . He sent one of his officer to find what was the reason behind their hesitation.

They main reason was they dont have enough food to bring and clothes to wear. so he brought up a new scheme of mid may meal and free uniform for school students . To treat all caste and class children in same way without partiality.

Thanks . Hope it helps!!!
