Hey guys please tell me the role of Vibrio Bacteria ?

Hii..

Vibrio bacteria are gram negative bacteria usually curved rod shaped which cause food borne diseases /waterborne diseases..
example -vibrio cholarae causes cholera in humans..

Pathogenic strains.... Pathogenic vibrio species include V. cholerae (the causative agent of Cholera),V. parahaemolyticus and v. vulnificus. V. Cholerae is generally transmitted by contaminated water. Pathogenic Vibrio species can cause foodborne illness (infection) , usually associated with eating undercooked seafood.
