5x²+10x - 3 = 0

By quadratic formula method

D = b ² - 4ac

= 10²-4(5)(-3)

= 100 +60

= 160

Now,

x = - b ±√D/2a

x = - 10 ±√160/2(5)

x = - 10 ± 4√10/10

x = - 10 +4√10/10

x = 2(2√10 - 5)/10

x = 2√10 - 5/5 and

x = - 2√2 - 5/5

And

(x+1)² - 3x +4 = 0

x²-5x +5 = 0

D = b²-4ac

= 5

x = - b±√D /2a

x = 5±√5/2
