It is ancient and polyvalent symbol in indian mythology.
It is associated with lord bramha, vishnu, saraswati , lakshmi and kubera.vishnu was often defined as lotus eyed one .
It is also referred to beauty and purity eternity , enlightenment and also rebirth .
