hello here is your answer.

First law of motion is that a object remains in rest or remains in uniform motion on a straight line until its compelled to stop by an external force.
In other words it is said that all objects resist a change in their state of motion.
And the tendency of the undisturbed objects to remain at rest or in motion is called as inertia. So it's also called as law of inertia.

hope it helps!

HEY ISHMEETLOTEY............!!!!!!!
YOUR ACTUAL TO-THE-POINT ANSWER IS HERE :
FROM SELINA [CONCISE PHYSICS]

● Newton's first law of motion ●

◆ What it states ? ◆
--> It states that if a body is in state of rest, it will remain in state of rest and if a body is in state of motion, it will remain in state of motion with same speed and in same direction unless an external force is applied on it.

◆ How it is related with "Inertia" ◆
--> The property of an object by virtue of which it tends to retain its state of rest or of motion is called inertia. Thus, inertia is also related with newton's 1st law.

● CONCLUSION - Thus, we can tell that "Newton's first law of motion" is also called as "Law of inertia".

● ACTUAL FACT - Since, Newton's first law describes the inertia in detail and is related with inertia, it is also known as "LAW OF INERTIA".
