Solution

You get your answer before so I am here to add some spice over it.

What is electrode potential [E°] ?

In any type of cell there is couple of electrode dipped in the electrolyte Solution which contain Lot of electron which convey electric current. So to move electron we need a force called Electromotive Force which is cause due to potential difference between both electrode namely Electrode Potential.

We can't add two Electrode potential.

But in order to find the electrode potential of any reaction (Combination of two reaction) But we can still find the answer through Gibbs free energy.

G = -nFE

where n is the transfer of electron in the given rexn

F is faraday Constant

E is electrode potential

I just skip the Derivation Final result is

n(3).E(3) = E(1).n(1) + E(2).n(2)

n(1) , E(1) is used for 1st rexn

n(3) , E(3) is used for resultant rexn

In your question.....

n(1) = n(2) = n(3) = 2

E(1) = 0.76

E(2) = -(0.41).....Coz we need reverse rexn

E(3) = 0.76 - 0.41

0.35
