Gladiators comes from Latin word gladiator. They are basically armed people who are professional in fighting and they  have the skills of entertaining the audiences of the republic  of Roman in the games that were organized all over the Roman  Empire. Most of these fighters  were slaves and they had a very short lifespan.    NY
