Since the cylinder is hollowed out the TSA will be
= Base area of cylinder + LSA of cylinder +
LSA of cone
Base area of cylinder = πr² = 22/7 × 0.7 × 0.7
= 1.54cm²
LSA of cone = πrl = 22/7 × 0.7 × 2.5 = 5.5cm²
LSA of cylinder = 2πrh = 2 × 22/7 × 0.7 × 2.4
= 10.56cm²
Therefore the TSA of the remaining solid
= 1.54 + 5.5 + 10.56 = 17.6cm²
