Given Set : A = { x : x is a factor of 12 }

As the Factors of 12 are : 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 6 , 12

⇒ Set : A = { 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 6 , 12 }

Given Set : B = { x : 3 ≤ x ≤ 7 where x ∈ N }

As Natural Numbers from 3 to 7 are 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7

⇒ Set : B = { 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 }

A ∪ B = The Set which contains either the Elements of A or the Elements of B

⇒ A ∪ B = { 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 6 , 12 } ∪ { 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 }

⇒ A ∪ B = { 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 , 12 }

A ∩ B = The Set which contains the Elements which are common to Both A and B

⇒ A ∩ B =   { 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 6 , 12 } ∩ { 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 }

The Elements both common to both A and B are 3 , 4 , 6

⇒ A ∩ B = { 3 , 4 , 6 }
