  • Given The numbers below are arranged according to a certain rule and so we need to find the missing number. In this diagram both numbers 99 and 72 are pointing towards 27. So we need to find both numbers should make 27. If 99 – 72 = 27, 45 – 27 = 18, 39 – 18 = 21, 36 – 21 = 15 will not fit because 21 – 13 = 8 and not 7
  • Now consider the numbers like 7 + 2 + 9 + 9 = 27,  
  • 2 + 7 + 4 + 5 = 18
  • 1 + 8 + 3 + 9 = 21
  • 2 + 1 + 3 + 6 = 12
  • 1 + 2 + 2 + 8 = 13
  • 1 + 3 + 2 + 1 = 7
  • Therefore the missing number is 12
