ACCORDING TO THE QUESTION

x + y = 8 .... Equation ( i )

a - b = 6.... Equation ( ii )

x + a = 13 .... Equation ( iii )

y + b = 8.... Equation ( iv )

SOLVE ALL THE EQUATIONS WE HAVE

x + y - y - b = 0

x = b

=>

a + b = 13

=>

2a = 19

=>

a = 19/2

b = 7/2

y = 9/2

And

x = 7/2
