\boxed{\underline{\textsf{Question}}}

WHAT ARE THE MAIN CAUSES OF SUCH EVIL ?

\bold{\red{Answer}}

<b>The main causes of such evil lie below:-

⏩Lack of public safety.

Women aren't protected at the public places. They are not safe at the places, like bus stops, offices, shopping malls,etc. There hasn't been any solid protection for the women on these places.

⏩Encouraging rape victims to compromise.

In India, the rape victims are asked to keep quiet over the treacherous act happened to them or they are forced to marry with one of the attackers.What's more, a girl's eventual prospects of marriage are thought to be more important than bringing a rapist to justice.

⏩Late court judgement.

Many rapists survive or are released due to weak judgement system against rapes. Well, not only this , Indian judiciary system is so good in India that it takes several years for the court verdict. This often ruins the life of a rape victim without causing much loss to rapists.

⏩Low status of women.

Perhaps the biggest issue, though, is women's overall lower status in Indian society. For poor families, the need to pay a marriage dowry can make daughters a burden. India has one of the lowest female-to-male population ratios in the world because of sex-selective abortion and female infanticide.

Above all are few of all the reasons that have caused so much damage to women empowerment.

We need to take serious steps to kill this evil- the rape.
