No, Democracy is not a tyranny of majority. It is rule of the majority. Majority in the sense that major part of population and not a certain group or religion or caste. In Democracy every person gets chance to come in the majority at least once. Their being in the majority or minority totally depends on their own choice(that is by voting). Tyranny on minority happens often in monarchy or dictatorship(sometimes) Democracy is better than all the others in the least. Minority is also given chance, equal opportunity in Democracy. They aren't ignored.
