concave mirrors have the inner side of a sphere as their reflecting area.....

convex mirrors have the bulging reflecting area....

concave mirrors give real and inverted images except when object is kept between pole and focus....

convex mirrors always give virtual and erect images...

concave mirrors are used as reflectors

convex mirrors are used in search lights....

welcome to Ray optics

⏩concave mirror:

  1. a concave mirror is that spherical mirror in which the reflection of light takes place at the concave surface(or bent surface )
  2. it forms both virtual and real image.
  3. A concave mirror ,has a real focus. the focus of a concave mirror is front of the mirror.
  4. the focal length of a concave mirror is considered negative.
  5. uses of concave mirror :
  • concave mirrors are used as reflectors in torches, vehicle headlights and search light to get powerful beam of light. etc

⏩convex mirror

  1. convex mirror is that spherical mirror in which the reflection of light takes place at the convex surface ( bluging- out surface)
  2. it forms only virtual images.
  3. convex mirror has virtual Focus .the focus of a convex mirror is situated behind the mirror.
  4. the focal length of a convex mirror is considered positive.
  5. uses of convex mirror:
  • big convex mirror are used as shop security mirrors.
  • convex mirror are used as rear view mirror in vehicles to see the traffic at rear side.

i hope it helps you ☘️

have a good day to you ❤️
