Poet first thought to wait till his guest(snake) drinks water.
there was burning bowels of earth in Sicilian July.
Voice of his education said that he should kill snake by a stick.
when snake was going he picked up the stick and thrown towards the snake and snake went quickly in it's hole.
Then poet realised that what he done was wrong and he thought that how worthless and vulgar act he did.
He wished that the snake might come back to him.
He seemed to poet that king of exile gain crowned in the under world.
He missed the chance with one of the lords of life.
