Here, in all questions, I'll take Distance as d, speed as s and time as t.

Q1. Find distance in all cases when speed and time are given.

(a) s = 960 km/h; t = 1h50min or 1 hr + 50/60 hr = 1.83 hrs

So, d = s*t = 960*1.83 = 1756.8 km

(b) s = 15 m/s ; t = 10 hrs = 600 min = 600*60s = 36000 s

So, d = 15*36000 = 540000 m or 540 km

(c) s = 250 cm/s;  t = 15.5s

So, d = 250*15.5 = 3875 cm

Q2. Find time when distance and speed are given.

(a) d = 7150 km; s = 780 km/h

So, t = d/s = 7150/780 = 9.166 hours

(b) d = 8 m; s = 8 2/5 cm/s = 42/5 cm/s = 8.4 cm/s = 8.4/100 m/s = 0.084 m/s

So, t = d/s = 8/0.084 = 95.238 s

(c) d = 27 km;  = 45 km/h

So, t = d/s = 27/45 = 0.6 hrs

Q3. d = ?; s = 675 km/h; t = 7hrs30min = 7.5 hrs

d = s*t = 675*7.5 = 5062.5 km

Q4. (i) 153 km/h = 153 * 1000/60 = 2550 m/min

(ii) 153 km/h = 153*1000*100/3600 = 4250 cm/s

Q5. s = 12.5 cm/s; t = 5 hrs = 5*3600 = 18000 s

So, d = s*t = 12.5*18000 = 225000 cm

Q6. d = 500 m; s = 50 km/h = 50*1000 m/h = 50000 m/h

So t = d/s = 500/50000 = 1/100 = 0.01 hours

Q7. s = 3 1/2 km/h = 7/2 km/h = 3.5 km/h = 3.5/60 km/min = 0.0583 km/min; t = 30 min

So, d = s*t = 0.0583 * 30 = 1.749 km

Q8. s = 10 m/s; d = 1 km = 1000m

So, t = d/s = 1000/10 = 100 seconds.

tejasgupta: I knew all so I did all. Thanks! ;P
kunal0912: 2) b) is incorrect
kunal0912: distance is in m and speed in cm/s
kunal0912: you are wrong
tejasgupta: Just a minute...I'll edit it...
tejasgupta: Corrected!
tejasgupta: Thanks for the brainlest!
