Why Berillium is not a noble or inert gas as it follows Duplet rule??

Beryllium has 2 electrons in the second shell which can accommodate a maximum of 8 electrons . As the shell is not completely filled .so beryllium is not stable. It can lose 2 electrons to get a stable noble gas configuration.

No we can not say that berillium is a inert /noble like he, ne, and etc.. because it's no of proton is 4 and
it's configuration is 2,2 and it's valence electron is 2 and it has only 2 option yaa loose electron yaa gain electron. but it's a simple way to loose 2 electron than gain and it loose 2 electron and then follow Duplet rule ..
and then we can say that it is inert.. and it follows Duplet rule.. otherwise not..
