Hello mate ✌️

  • Sustainable development : Development which does not cause overuse of resources, at the same time replenishing the existing resources is called as sustainable development

  • Sustainable development is essential for economic growth because it means ‘development should take place without damaging the environment, and development in the present should not compromise with the needs of the future generations.’ Preservation of resources determine the economic activities of the nation hence, promote economic growth.

Hope this helps !!

Sustainable development is essential for economic growth because :

Natural resources are not unlimited. They should be used carefully.

Overuse of natural resources may exhaust.

For eg., water is an example of renewable resources but overuse/ misuse of this resource may create problem in near future.

Non-renewable resources are limited and warn us to use very carefully so they may be available for future generation.
