Answer:

Monsoons are called the unifying bond because many festivals are celebrated around the monsoon season. And the festivals unite people and are enjoyed with love and togetherness.

Also , many festivals are celebrated around the harvesting season and we know that rains are the supporte of crops. Farmers wait for the rains. For example baisakhi, pongal and onam are some of the many harvest festivals.

Therefore, it is said that the monsoons are the unifying bond.

The monsoon is considered a unifying bond because of the following reasons:-

↪Despite variations in temperature conditions across in India, a sense of unity is imposed by the monsoon.

↪The seasonal alteration of the wind systems and the associated weather patterns/conditions provide a rhythmic cycle of seasons that binds the entire country.

↪Also, the Indian landscape, its flora and fauna etc., are highly influenced by the monsoon.

↪These monsoon winds bind the whole country by providing water for agricultural activities.

↪Most of the festivals in India that are related to the agricultural cycle may be known by different names in different parts of the country, but their celebration is decided by the monsoon.

↪Year after year, people of India from North to South and from East to West, eagerly await for the arrival of the monsoon.

↪The river valleys which carry this water also unite as a single river valley unit.
