When we breath out why does air passage not collapse..?

This allows air to pass in and out of the lungs. As the trachea is made of cartilaginous rings which are of C shape, it prevents the air passage not to collapse when we breathe out air. Due to the presence of rings of catilage, the air passage do not collapse when we breath out
