It is true that the poem is a spoof on a present society.  Our society is replete with shrewd and cunning people who by the dint of their cunning and craftiness treat the talented but inexperienced people unfairly. However educated they might be, but the moment they see a more talented person in their field, they become jealous of them and try to get rid of them. In spite of modernization of civilization, man's basic instincts are as unrefined as they were in the past! The poem ‘The Frog Nightingale’ highlights and depicts this bitter truth vividly. The frog represents that class of people who get jealous of the talented youngsters and try to influence their life by their power, cunning, and schemes. At the end he managed to get rid of the talented nightingale through his crafty machinations and influence.
