convex lens or concave mirror is the answer (i.e. option b)

this is because in the case of mirror convex mirror always forms a virtual and erect image and a diminished image in all the cases

in case of lens concave lens always forms a diminished image which is virtual and erect in all the cases

PLEASE MARK ME AS BRAINLIEST IF THIS ANSWER WAS REALLY HEPFUL

KuKu124: Thanku, but it's option B and u have written option C
sakthishamifb: sorry
sakthishamifb: please mark me as brainliest
KuKu124: okay sure
KuKu124: they r not showing up the option of marking brainliest
sakthishamifb: omg
sakthishamifb: if it shows please mark me then
sakthishamifb: thank you
KuKu124: yes sure!

hello mate here is your answer

Well according to my opinion too the answer (b) convex lens or concave mirror according to the following properties

convex lens:

=> It's a piece of transparent material which a spherical surface called convex lens.

=> It has thick surface at the middle and tapering on the edges

=> The object when brought close to convex lens, it image formed by the convex mirror is virtual , erect and magnified image or diminished.

=> The object when held at a distant from the convex lens, it forms enlarged, real and inverted image and it basically depends upon the distance of the object from the lens.

That's why convex lens is suitable.

Now concave mirror

=> It s a spherical mirror with its surface curved inward is called concave mirror.

=> The object when held close to the mirror it forms a virtual, erect and diminished image or magnified.

=> The object when held at a distant from the mirror it forms a real, enlarged and inverted image.

=> When the distance between the object and mirror increases the size of the object also decreases but image remains real and inverted.

That's why concave mirror is suitable

As we know the image formed by the plane mirror has same size, distance and colour and forms virtual image. Image appears as far behind the mirror as front of the object. Eg: If we are 3m away from the mirror then image behind the mirror is also 3m so it will be 6m. And thus we may not obtain enlarged image.

Concave lens possess the property of convex mirror. It's a piece of transparent material with a spherical surface. It forms a virtual, erect and diminished image for all the position of the object from the mirror

And thus we may not obtain enlarged image

Hope it helps you
