Equivalent resistance

10 Ω and 10 Ω are connected in parallel .

1/R = 1/R1 + 1/R2

      ==> 1/10 Ω + 1/10 Ω

      ==> 2 × 1/10 Ω

      ==> 1/5 Ω

==> R = 5Ω

5 Ω and 5 Ω are in series

R = R1 + R2

   ==> 5 Ω + 5 Ω

   ==> 10 Ω

R = 10 Ω

The total resistance of the circuit is 10 Ω

Ohm's law

By Ohm's law ,

V = I R

==> I = V / R

Given :    V = 5 v

I = 5 v / 10 Ω

==> 0.5 A

The current in the circuit will be 0.5 A
