   As the number of increasing people, increase 5 percent from the number of people in the previous year, every half year, therefore, we use the formula of compound interest to find the answer.

So, n = 3   ( 5% increases in every 6 months. So, compounded half-yearly)

As, A = P ( 1 + R/100)^n

So, A = 16000( 1 + 5/100) ^ 3 = 16000 ( 1 + 1/20) ^ 3 = 16000( 21/20) ^ 3

= 16000 ( 9261/8000) = 18,522

Answer: There will be 18,522 donors by the end of 1 and 1/2 years
