Why should we use tungsten as a filament?

HEY mate here is your answer.

tungsten is an alloy which have high melting point and also high resistance which causes to light.

therefore it is generally used as filament.

pure tungsten has some amazing properties including highest melting point (3695k) , lowest vapour pressure and greatest tensile strength out of all the metals. because of these properties it is the most commonly used material for light bulb filaments.
