hey hii gyz...generally fruits come from the flower but in case ground nut. it is opposite...why?.what is the reason?

Actually, they are the seeds of a leguminous plant related to peas and beans. The groundnut plant is unique because its flowers growaboveground, yet the pods containing the seeds develop in the soil.

Groundnut is included in' lomentum ' category of fruits.. It is a multiseed fruit.But in case of other fruits they are arise from ovaries of flowers. In case of groundnut there is no flower but there is a pod from which groundnut arises. So it is a pod (lomentum) type fruit.
