Secularism means separation of religion, caste, tradition etc from state
India is a secular State.
We can know this from the fact that India is the largest Democratic country in the world. A democratic country follow the fact of being secular.
India has a wide variety of culture and traditions. People from different caste, colour, creed, religion, sex, background live together in a country with Harmony and peace. The current president of India is a Dalit (lower caste) which shows that anyone can become the ruler irrespective of their caste, religion etc. A.P.J Abdul Kalam served as the president and became the most popular President of India.
The Fundamental Rights are given to people. They can protest against the government if they are not acting secular.
So due to these facts I think India is a secular State
