heya \: dear \\ here \: is \: your \: answer
let the age of man =x yr
and the sum of the ages of two son =y yr
x=2y
after 20yr
age of man =x+20
and age of teo son =y+20+20

x+20=y+40
x=y+20
2y=y+20
2y-y=20
y=20
age of man =2×20=40

let the present age of man be x and the sum of the age of his children be y
according to question
x=2y------1
x+20=y+40
x-y=20-------2
from equation 1 we get
x-2y=0------3
subtracting equation 2 from 3 we get
-y=-20
therefore y=20
putting the value of y in equation 2 We get
x= 40 years ans.
