Ans 9) (a) Acceleration = v-u/t

36km/h = (36×5/18) m/s = 10 m/s
18km/h = (18×5/18) m/s = 5 m/s

Acceleration = 10-5/2 = 2.5 m/s^2

(b) S= ut + 1/2 at^2
S= 5(2) + 1/2 (2.5)(2)^2
S= 10 + 5 = 15m

Ans 10) 54km/h = (54× 5/18) m/s = 15 m/s
72km/h = (72× 5/18) m/s = 20 m/s

Acceleration = 20-15/5 = 1 m/s^2

Ans 11) S= ut + 1/2 at^2
S = (0)(20) + 1/2 (5)(20)^2
S = 0 + 1000 = 1000m = 1 Km

I'll give hints on rest of the question try to solve it

12)
=>Since retardation is given, a=-0.9m/s²
=>here we've u=27m/s and v=0
=>Use the formula v²-u²=2as where s is the distance

13)
=>here v=0,t=10sec,a=-2.5m/s²,u=?
=>use the formula v=u+at where u is the intial velocity

14)here s=500m,t=10sec,u=0,v=?,a=?
=>s=ut+(1/2)at² and find a from it
=>v=u+at find v from here

15)here u=50m/s,v=0,s=10cm=0.1m
=>use the formula v²-u²=2as
