Question :-

Find curved surface area of cone whose radius is 7 cm and height is 6 cm,

Answer :-

→ 22√85

Solution :-

Given that ,

  • r = 7 cm
  • h = 6 cm

We know that

Curved surface area of cone = π r l

We know that slant height (l) = √(h^2+r^2)

→ √(49+36)

→ √85

therefore ,

CSA = π × 7 ×√85

→ 22/7×7 × √85

→ 22√85

  • Radius of cone (r) = 7cm

  • Height of cone (h) = 6cm

  • Curved Surface area of cone (CSA)= ?

\LARGE\underline{\underline{\sf \red{S}\blue{o}\green{l}\orange{u}\blue{t}\green{i}\orange{o}\red{n}:}}

We know ,

l = slant Height of cone

Where ,

\large{\boxed{\sf l=\sqrt{r^2+h^2}}}

\implies{\sf \sqrt{6^2+7^2} }

\implies{\sf \sqrt{85} }

\implies{\sf ≈9.21cm}

Curved Surface Area of Cone :

\large{\boxed{\sf CSA=πrl }}

\implies{\sf CSA=\dfrac{22}{7}×7×9.21}

\implies{\sf CSA=356.8cm^2}
