A ball point pen is a pen that uses a small rotating ball made of brass, steel, or tungsten carbide to disperse ink as you write. The ink is exposed to the air while it is flowing through the pen, so it cannot dry quickly or it would clog the pen.

Answer:

The ball pen's nib consists of a small metallic ball and an ink refill behind it

The liquid ink covers the inner side of the ball and when we write, the inked side comes on the paper thus facilitating our writing

In simple words, the ball takes up ink from the cartridge and puts it on paper

name of principle used is surface tention

hope this helps!
