➧ Volume = 2000 cm³

➾ 2000 x 10-⁶ m³

➾ 2 x 10³ x 10-⁶ m³

➾ 2 x 10-³ m³

➧ So, density of the substance

➾ 70 kg/ 2 x 10-³ m³

➾ 35 x 10³ kg/m³

➧ Relative density =  density of substance / density of water

➾ 35 x 10³ / 10³

➾ 35

Volume of the water displaced = Volume of the body

Here, the body displaces 1000 cm3 of water when fully immersed in it.

(i)Volume of the body = 1000 cm3 = 1000 × 10-6 m3 = 10-3 m3

(ii) Upthrust on the body = Volume of the water displaced × Density of water × g

                              = 10-3 m3 × 1000 × 10

                              = 10 N

Here. the weight of the object = 3.5 kg× 10 = 35 N

(iii) Apparent weight = True weight - Upthrust

                       = 35 N - 10N

Apparent weight = 25 N

Hey mate....

here's the answer...

Vol = 2000 cm³

2000 x 10-⁶ m³

2 x 10³ x 10-⁶ m³ = 2 x 10-³ m³

Density of the substance

70 kg/ 2 x 10-³ m³ =35 x 10³ kg/m³

Relative density =

density of substance /

density of water

35 x 10³ / 10³ = 35

Volume of the water displaced = Volume of the body

The body displaces 1000 cm3 of water.

1) Volume of the body =

1000 cm3 =

1000 × 10-6 m3 = 10-3 m3

2)Upthrust on the body

= Volume of the water displaced ×

Density of water × g

= 10-3 m3 × 1000 × 10= 10 N

The weight of the object

= 3.5 kg× 10 = 35 N

3) Apparent weight =

True weight - Upthrust

= 35 N - 10N

Hope it helps you ❤️
