0.5(x - 2) - 0.4 y = 29

0.5x - 1 - 0.4y = 29

0.5x - 0.4y = 29 - 1

0.5x - 0.4y = 28....................(2)*0.02

from equation (1) & (2)

0.016x + 0.008y = 2

0.01x - 0.008y = 0.56

0.026x = 2.56

x = 2.56/0.026

x = 98.46

from equation (1)

0.04( 98.46 ) + 0.02y = 5

3.93 + 0.02y = 5

0.02y = 5 - 3.93

y = 1.07/0.02

y = 53.5

so, x = 98.46

y = 53.5 ans
